Laurie J. Tange

Laurie J. Tange is an attorney with the H. Wolf Law Firm, P.C., located in Allegan, Michigan. She focuses her practice in the areas of criminal law, mediation, and probate/estate planning.

She believes clear communication with her clients is paramount. “An important part of my job is to help my clients navigate the unfamiliar and understand the law. Keeping in contact and answering questions and concerns in a timely manner is a responsibility I take very seriously.”

Laurie has represented over 1,500 misdemeanor and felony defendants in both private practice and in her capacity as court-appointed criminal defense counsel for Allegan County. Effective representation is about more than taking hard positions. It requires knowledge, the tenacity to build a strong defense, and the insight to develop creative solutions.

In her estate planning and probate practice, Laurie helps her clients in the preparation of wills, trusts, advanced directives for healthcare (living wills), and powers of attorney. Additionally, she helps families navigate the waters of probate after the death of a loved one.

Laurie uses her skills as a certified domestic mediator to help mediation clients come to lasting resolutions. As Laurie puts it, “There is something very satisfying in knowing that I helped someone put some order and calm back into the chaos that life can be.”

Laurie graduated magna cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

In over twenty years as a military spouse, Laurie expanded her outlook and world-view. Living in different cultures both stateside and abroad reinforced her belief that each person is unique and each case deserves individualized attention. There is no cookie-cutter approach to the law. She currently lives in Allegan County with her two cats, Fuzzy and Pickles. She enjoys traveling, history, and considers herself a pretty darn good cook.

Laurie is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Bar for the Western District of Michigan
